The first ICACC meeting took place in Antalya, Turkey
On June 1 -5 , 2005
The second ICACC meeting took place in Tunis-Gammarth, Tunisia
On March 23 – 28, 2007
The Third ICACC meeting is scheduled for May 17 – 22, 2009.
It will be held in the
Palm Beach Hotel, Akko (Acre), Israel.

SIGNIFICANCE OF CHRONOBIOLOGY TO THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF TODAY’S SOCIETY.
The scope of issues, to be discussed in the present congress, was broadened to also include topics related to human ecology, specifically, agriculture (plants and animals).
Suggested topics to be discussed are –
Application of Chronobiology methods to Human Ecology: Agriculture and animal and avian husbandry.
Cancer and circadian rhythm disruption.
Chronobiolgy of aging (from womb to tomb)
Chronobiology of chronic inflammatory states and immune dysregulation.
Chronobiology of sport medicine.
Chronopathology.
Circadian phase manipulation: shift work and transmeridian travel, etc.
Gender issues in medical chronobiology and chronotherapeutics.
Human Chronopharmacology.
Hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
Light pollution.
Light treatment of rhythm disorders.
Light, mood and psychological well-being.
Mammalian Chronopharmacology.
Melatonin treatment of rhythm disorders.
Molecular Chronomedicine.
Nutrition and body weight regulation.
Performance at the work place:
1. Vigilance management in continuous industrial operations.
2. Cognitive and performance rhythms.
Rhythm polymorphism and desynchronization
Rhythms and social pathologies (suicide, drug addiction, alcoholism, sexual abuse, etc.
Vertebrate pest control: pesticide application times
Vertebrate pest control: Photoperiodic activity
The Organizing Committee also welcomes the suggestion of additional topics or special sessions from interested parties
